What to Expect

sunset_dog_owner

Your pet should be examined once to twice yearly for a thorough check up from head to tail. If you are a new client coming to Hershire Animal Hospital, please bring any medical history you have on your pet. We can also call your previous veterinarian to request to have your pet records sent directly to us.

When you come for your appointment, your pet will relax in our dog and cat specific waiting rooms. You will be greeted by our friendly receptionists. Our certified technicians will escort you into one of three exam rooms and will ask you some important history and health questions about your pet. The technician will also make sure to answer any of your questions on vaccines, flea and tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. After the basic health questionarrie, the veterinarian will perform a comprehensive examination on your pet and answer any questions you may have. Any diagnostics or testing that needs to be performed on your pet can be done while you wait or your pet may stay with us until testing is finished.
